1PLM,
Do you have a template named "rasta" and is it the one currently active/selected as the template in admin > tools > template selection?

No, I do not have any template named "rasta". The only template I have and am using is the default template. I Intend dowloading one of the available Zen templates once the site was formated with our text.
The link to the sites are:

Thanks.
From Kobra's question, should I create a folder "rasta" in httpdocs/includes/templates/ and copy the header.php into it?
Example:
httpdocs/includes/templates/rasta/header.php
THe way the template overrides work, you need to select 'rasta' as your active template, then any files in /rasta folders will override the defaults.
I am begining to see the light, but how do I select "rasta" as the active template when the only data in the folder is header.php. Should I download a template into the httpdocs/includes/templates/rasta and then go to admin to make it active?
Thanks.
Okay Zenners,
Per earlier answers to my post, I went on and downloaded a template named "sage" and renamed all my Custom "rasta" folders to "sage". I have saved my edited header.php to the "sage" custom folder.
I.E
httpdocs/includes/templates/sage/header.php
Now I went to my admin page trying to activate my "sage " template as the active template, but only the default Classic Green template is showing.
Whats now my next move to change the "Sales Message Goes Here",
"Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution." and so forth, since they seem to all follow the same principle.
Thanks.
To create a very basic custom template (you can build from there), you need:
- includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php
- includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php
- includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php
- includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/header.php (to change the logo)
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php <- may not be necessary
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php <- may not be necessary
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/logo.gif
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css
Anywhere you see a /classic/ folder, you can create a folder for your custom template. You can copy the necessary files from either the /classic/ folder, the /template_default/ folder or the parent folder.
Edit includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php to give your template identifying information so you'll recognize it in the admin under tools->template selection.
