WPPro & Zen Cart v1.3.8 Intergration Problem

Good Morning Folks

I have migrated the cart across from OSC to Zen overnight. Everything works fine except for the pesky payment system

I have read threads, logged test purchases but NADA!

I would be very very grateful for any advice or guidance

The OSC system worked fine and used the certificate method of talking to the UK version of Payments Pro

The Zen cart requires an API signature which I have got from PayPal

On a series of live test transactions of £0.01 I repeatedly get the curl log saying

Response:
Array
(
[RESULT] => 1
[RESPMSG] => User authentication failed
[REQUEST_ID] => 1218523534
[CURL_ERRORS] =>
)

PayPal say their end shows no problems

I am running out of ideas as to what to look for

As I cant do business without it I would be grateful for any help

Thank you Centec2b

"User authentication failed" suggests that you've not supplied the USER/VENDOR/PARTNER/PASSWORD details in addition to the API key/sig/pwd details.

Hi DrByte

Thank you for the advice, having spent the day, poring over the log files (thank you for writing those utilities)I think you must be right. There is communication, but PayPal has some sort of issue and I am not sure what - when the knowledge runs out, you end up chasing shadows. Also the old OSC site contribution used a cert, whereas here you use a "signature" to drive the Zen contribution. So it may well be I am using the right words in the wrong places; but experimenting hasnt shown a way - yet

I enjoyed OSC and there are some really great people there, but for me Zen is the future. Respect and thanks to the team and the community for making it happen.

Cheers

Re: WPPro & Zen Cart v1.3.8 Intergration Problem

When you have your Express Checkout and Website Payments Pro modules set to Payflow-UK, you'll be able to enter your User/Vendor/Partner/Password information in the config area of your Express Checkout module.

Also, Zen Cart doesn't use the PayPal "certificate" authentication. It may be necessary to remove the Certificate option in your PayPal profile, and instead enable API permissions instead.

Yes that caught me unawares first time round, but I am certain the information they contain is correct - it gets me into PayPal

It is not apparent when you look at the API area of PayPal, that if you already have a cert, you have to dump that and then go through the process again to have a choice of certificate or signature. Could do with a "sign". It didnt say so but I hope the process of dumping terminates the validity of the old item

Thank you

Re: WPPro & Zen Cart v1.3.8 Intergration Problem

SORTED - HALLELUJAH!!!

For those that might have a similar problem and are looking for a solution.

The problem was in the IP addresses

PayPal Manager allows you to restrict the IP addresses that it will accept instructions from. I had restricted the IP addresses within PayPal manager and it wasnt until we were kicking stones that we realised even though I had deleted all at my end there was still one "in the system" at PayPals end. The system was looking at this one and rejecting requests from the legit addresses.

When this was cleared out everything worked like a charm

Hey ho....
