detecting Adobe Acrobat

You don't have Acrobat Reader? How come?

I know I've seen scripts that, if the visitor doesn't have the Reader, it'll prompt them to get it from Adobe.

I don't know why. I discovered that I didn't when working on the site. I figure I won't do anything about getting it until I have an idea about detecting its existence (or lack of same). It's not the most important thing and it's certainly not a show stopper, but I think it'd be pretty slick.
