    Default Getting Credit Card Information

    Hello,
I've been reading a lot of credit card threads. I'm not sure how to implement something like this so hopefully someone can help me.

    1. after we receive an order that has been paid already and authroize&captured at authorize.net, we process the order.

    2. however, if the customer changes their mind and wants to add additional items to their order, we need to charge them again.

    3. but we can't see the full credit card info, so how the heck are we going to be able to charge them?

On our old shopping cart webhost, in their admin, we were able to click on view credit card, and it would display the full cc info. of course it was via secured and encrypted data they had on their database.

What are the ways for us in zen cart to view the full cc info?

    Thanks.

If you're using authorize.net, the CC info is never stored in Zencart, so you can't do what you're asking.

Were you using authorize.net or another merchant account with your previous host?

If the customer wants to add something, what's stopping them from just placing another order?

"Were you using authorize.net or another merchant account with your previous host?"

I was using authorize.net with my previous host.

"If the customer wants to add something, what's stopping them from just placing another order?"

I understand they can do that, but a lot of customer's just call in because its more convenient for them. Also, it helps them because they don't have to pay additional shipping for the new order.

Zen Cart does not store the CC information on your server.
If you want to take an additional payment, you will have to ask for their CC details again, and you can run those CC details through your authnet virtual terminal in order to capture the new/additional payment.

Default CVV number label on orders

    Hello,
Why do we have the "Credit Card CVV Number:" label display when I click to edit on orders from admin? Aren't cvv numbers not suppose to be stored? so why is that label there?

That's something that's not been removed since way back when there was an addon module that *did* store CVV. You can remove it if you don't want to see it there.
