Image Handler 2 doesn't work for my zencart 1.38a

I've never been able to get Image Handler 2 to show the additional images on the product page without applying the fix found here:

Try moving one image set to the following locations and then in the admin insure that the product base image is re-loaded to be from "main" folder

Load your best image quality images to the following

/images/mb06.jpg
/images/mb06_01.jpg
/images/mb06_02.jpg
/images/mb06_03.jpg

As you are using IH2 you do not need these

/images/medium/mb06_MED.jpg
/images/medium/mb06_01_MED.jpg
/images/medium/mb06_02_MED.jpg
/images/medium/mb06_03_MED.jpg

/images/large/mb06_LRG.jpg
/images/large/mb06_01_LRG.jpg
/images/large/mb06_02_LRG.jpg
/images/large/mb06_03_LRG.jpg

yes i also tried putting the images to the main folder, just under the folder /images, and i know that for IH2, just need to transfer the image mb06.jpg, and mb06_01.jpg, mb06_02.jpg, i think i know exactly how to manage those images. in fact, it should be easy to install IH2.

i guess my problem is not about the wrong directories or names of the images, maybe there's some php codes wrong on one of my files, such as main page or other pages. before i installed the IH2, i did some modification of some files. but i dont know which page might be concerned with it.

now, for the product which i add additional images, there's the space on the product page, (ex, if i add one additional image, there's one space, if i add 3 additional images, there's 3 space, just like the picture i transfer here), those additional images are on the page, and even when i view the source, i can see them. they are just invisible for us, just like i put a blank gif image.

and when i zoom the small image, i can also see the medium image, it works.

i read that thread and had a try, but still no luck.

after replacing thoes codes, on my product page, the small images of sidebox not working on zoom anymore (the small images on the other pages still work), so i have to change those codes back.

guess what? just now, i change the language of the site, the additional images show up there !

i have two languages of my site, i don't know why they only show up on one language site? what do i make them showing up on both two language sites? thanks

to prevent making the customs worried, i didnt put those unsuccessful configueration to the open host, i test it myself. so its hard to show but only describe the situations.

for my IH2, it works on my english site (its my zen's default language), but it doesnt show additional images on product page on my french site (i instlled the french package), for the other functions small image zoom, watermark for small medium large image, they are fine.

and for the french package, it works fine on all the other parts.
the only problem is on IH2 (not showing the additional languages on product page)

i guess i should fix one language file, but i'm not sure which one,
french.php ? header.php ? or other ones?

you are good at those codes of zencart, and as your expierence, which part might be cocerned with this situation? thanks
