Default Drag and drop, seems simple...File Transfer Failed or Directory does not exist

All I am doing is dragging the Includes folder from one of Picaflor's templates right where it tells me to. My FTP seems to go into a fit, finishes uploading and no templates exist. Never seen my FTP do something so strange.

I don't mind uploading the files and folders manually one by one, it seems that would probably work out better that way.

try Beyond Compare for uploading/comparing filesets locally and remotely.

Thanks, i'm sorry this is vague, but I have no idea where to even begin. Obviously has to be an issue with my host. I still don't understand how this is suppose to work with the includes folder outside of the catalog. But thats what the directions want me to do.

Well I have been manually installing all the files within my catalog. It's working now, so the whole drag and drop thing didn't seem to work for me. I think i'm missing a few files doing it manual but it's working. Sorry for the stupid thread.

Nothing stupid about the thread, and although it is good to see that you bypassed the issue with the 'manual installing' of the files, this really isn't the way to go and you'll be better trying to find the real cause of your FTP issues.

The first question is, what FTP client are you using? Some of them are pretty poor and can often cause failed uploads. Personally, I use 'filezilla' (Linux version) and have never had an issue with it yet.

    Cheers

There should be no need for installing files manually one by one. I would recommend contacting your webhost and finding out if they have your FTP set up abnormally. There should be no reason why a drag and drop of the includes folder to the correct place on your server wouldn't install the template package.

    Thanks,

    Anne
