Default options in USPS module are not working

Hi there. I am somewhat new with Zen-cart and have a problem with my USPS module. It defaults always to "Express" no matter if any other USPS option is selected. I assume that it is maybe a bug in the USPS module since when I select UPS it makes the change successful. The things happens in the second stage of the checkout where the final shipping is displayed. Shipping estimate shows all options fine. It just seems to have a hard time switching over and bringing the choices to the next page. My PHP knowledge is limited in following instructions. I know where the modules are somewhat but I am afraid to hack around in it since it is on a live site. I had to eliminate the other options in order to get the option that most people using. Is there another update out since May 2008? I have that update and the latest version of Zen-cart as well. If anybody give me a hint of where to look into that I would be grateful.

Did you get this USPS patch for May 12th loaded

and follow the instructions to REMOVE, INSTALL and reconfigure it?

You might for giggles and grins, go ahead and reload the new files and again do the REMOVE, INSTALL and reconfigure ...
