SLOW site - parse times??

Our site has been dredfully slow all of a sudden lately - our host/server says it is coding on our site and not them...of course...

I checked the parse times after doing some reading here on the boards and it seems slow...

Parse Time: 4.417 - Number of Queries: 131 - Query Time: 2.5335771427917

Parse Time: 2.198 - Number of Queries: 75 - Query Time: 0.36470668283081


how do I fix this or increase speeds? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

You have a very small amount of queries, so that should be no problem. Are you sure the servers wasn't running backups the time you checked?

I suggest you go back to your host and gets them to check their stats.. Which host are you using?

I would definitly talk to dotcanada

there is no reason for a 4 second parse for 400 quesries and almost 2 second query time

The stats tell us the problem is not with mySQL but with PHP, which is an indication the Server could be overloaded.

Admin > Tools > Server Version/Info - look near the top where is says "Server Up Time:" and then see what it shows for 'load average'. I'll bet the first number (the important one) is higher than 1.0.
