    Default Blank Pages In Admin

    Hi all

Sorry this has been mentioned before, but I am really stuck on it now.

I have installed a fresh zen cart install onto a new shared server (I have installed around 20+ Zen carts in the past, but never had this problem).

Site and admin area work fine except for the orders.php and categories.php files, which are appearing blank. There is html content there, but it stops before the header include file - hence the blank page.

I have reinstalled and reinstalled and no success with fixing the pages, I have also checked all files are present and correct and tried different packages, browsers and FTP methods.

My error console in FireFox tells me on both pages:
    Error: menudiv is null
    Source File: ######/admin/includes/menu.js
    Line: 332

Also Register Globals is on for this server (trying to get it turned off!)

Any ideas anyone why these two pages aren't loading?

    Thanks C x

The FAQ area contains many articles related to common problems. Searching for "blank page" brings up this article: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82

    Hi DrByte

Thanks for the reply, I have already searched the site, and the internet and carried out/checked all instructions in the tutorials, but with no luck!

This is a completely fresh install with all original files (I haven't edited any to create syntax errors for example) and I have checked the upload has worked correctly and that no files are corrupt.

Does anyone have any ideas why these two pages aren't rendering and what the menudiv error could mean? It's driving me maad!

    Thanks C

What's in the logs generated by the utility referenced in the FAQ?

That's the thing, no error logs are being created! It's very weird!

The menudiv error is just a result of the javascript that builds the menu being unable to find the required related HTML to which it is referencing.

What does the browser Source HTML show when you choose View Source?
How is it different between working vs non-working pages?

Do you have a browser cache problem perhaps?
