please help!

i have installed zencart, and encountered no problems at all.

so, i added the "gloss black" theme, and started to add products. All is working well apart from i have no shopping cart at all, so i can view stuff, but i can't add it to the shopping cart.

the layout boxes suggest that the shopping cart is visible but nothing is visible. i have also tried the original skin and there is still no shopping cart.

the only payment method i have installed/enabled is the standard paypal one.

does anyone have any suggestions please?
