    Default Template error message

    Cant get my template started. I followed the directions from here:

    but when I go to my admin section and try to pull up a preview of the template, I get this error message:

    404 Not Found
    The requested URL /cart/includes/templates/Custom/images/ does not exist.

    I compared the path of the "classic" template to mine, and it follows the same path, and I can see it on my server side of my FTP.

    Any ideas?

    If you mean the 'Preview' in Admin - Tools -Template Selection, that's just an image of the homepage you have to supply when you create the template. It's not a link to the template home page.

    Selecting your custom template is just a a matter of selecting Edit on the same page and selecting your custom template from the dropdown, then clicking Reset in Admin - Tools - Layout Boxes Controller.

    I know it's not a link, but shouldn't I be able to see a page after I go through the steps in the tutorial? No changes I make are showing up, and instead of the preview of the template, I get the error message.

    If you mean the 'Preview' button in Admin - Tools - Template Selection , that just displays a screenshot image that you have to provide when you create the template. It doesn't display your site's home page.

    There's no way in Admin to see if your template changes happen. You'll have to look at your site in a browser to do that.

    To see your changes, just click on the "Online Catalog" link in the upper, right-hand side of your admin panel.

    Thanks for the info. I figured out some other things and got the template up and running.
