Skype Live Support Side Box

I wanted to thank Goshawk for the great app, I use skyp everyday, personal and business. although I am having problems with the workability as the live help on my site.
I changed the code in the templates/YOUR TEMPLATE/sideboxes/.tpl_skypelive.php file to chat instead of call.

<a href="skype:YOUR_NAME_HERE?chat">

When I click the button the download window comes up tho and I already have the most recent version. Also when I am running skype and click on the live help button I get a warning pop up that "you have another copy of skype running".
Curious if others have had any problems with this

My status says offline when I am online?
Worked fine for a few days, did not change anything. I did notice however that the phone number on the main page has a skype box now that I did not create.

Back to online? don't know why it showed offline all day then all of a sudden it came back online.
So everything is good.

I managed to put a Skype button also on my website, but I had to add it where the sponsor banner is located. I would like to add this button individually if possible and rename the side box Skype Live Support.
Can anyone tell me how to do that please?

Hi,

I had the problem of it showing me off line when I was online.

Go to your Skype window then select >>> Tools > Options > Privacy > privacy Settings > then make sure the tick box is checked for 'Allow my online status to be shown on the web'.

That should fix ya problems.

Yes, but that is not the problem. I had the same problem and the settings were correct indeed, but still it didn't show (most of the time) the correct online status. A lot of times it showed me Offilne eventhough I was online or maybe set as away. That is why I rather did put on my page the static Skype button, not the live one. I believe this is Skype's problem, not Zen cart's problem.

Same problem, installed yesterday, it worked all day, I even logged in and out of skpe to test it and the sidebox was very accurate reporting that I was on or offline. Now it's the next day and it says I'm offline.

I'll wait it out like 'higherselfgifts' did, maybe it will come back
