    Default custom pc builder

    Hi everyone

    I wanted to build a custom pc builder sorta thing in my zen cart. This can be easily done with attritbutes, i know this, but if you visit my site here; click you see that in the value pc it displays all of the processors i wish to offer over my range of computers.

    I want it to have E2180, E2200, E2220, E4600, E4700 and E7200 for value

    E7200, E7300, E8200, E8400, E8500, E8600 for gaming etc...

    Is this possible, to display certain arrtibutes for certain products without seperating them out of the one group called processors?

    I could have like value processors, gaming processors groups, but then it'd display on the page as Value processor: choices, which don't want.

    This is probably very simple, so any help is appreciated!

    Peter.

    I don't know if this would help, but here is a suggestion;

    what it looks like to me (and i could be wrong) is that you are trying to clump everything together in the same bunch of attributes; gaming, office, basic pc and so on.

    what i might suggest is;
    set up products I.E. gaming - office - other 1 - other 2.
    then set up your attributes for each product accordingly;

    1) gaming-> gaming housing attribute -> gaming processer attribute.
    2) office -> office housing attribute -> office processor.

    something like that....does that help?

    On a re-read of your post, you can dump all processors attributes in the option names / values, then only assign the attribute(s) you want for that product, on that individual product.

    I think i have done that now noone, see here; http://apex-pc.co.uk/shop/index.php?...&products_id=1

    I think that is what i mean, i sorted the option i had by deleting the attributues for expensive processors, and leaving cheaper ones.

    So now i think i have got it, only gripe is the layout of the attributes...

    appears before the word Case then the dropdowns are next to it

    There is no before processors and the dropdown is underneath, can i fix this with a width adjustment?

    Misty, thanks for that, but the last post claims it doesn't work...
