Default Re: Help needed - welcome email edit

zen4me is an independent site. I can't speak for what they do or don't provide in the services they offer.

The FCKeditor addon in the downloads area of the Zen Cart support website does not include a visual editor for welcome email content. As far as I remember the addon hosted on another site doesn't include that sort of alteration either.

A future version of Zen Cart will have an improved email templating system. While it may or may not be exactly what you've described, it will certainly be a lot easier than editing language files the way you have to do it in v1.2.x and v1.3.x today.

    That is good news.

But still leave leaves me in the very frustrating position of having lost that excellent feature and not knowing where it came from and how to get it back. It is not the end of the world but has seriously curtailed my business ideas for that particular first contact email.

    thanks for the information.
    I love Zencart!

As for actually adjusting the welcome email ...

If you want to edit the HTML layout of the welcome email, you can do that in the /email/ folder of your site.
If you want to edit the text itself, you can do that by editing the language file it's built from.
