Auth Pending set to 1 not working

Hi all,

I have a ZC install that requires people to be logged in to browse the catalog and the accounts are set to be authorized when created. The problem is that although I set Auth Pending to 1, when I create an account, it automatically gets approved. What could the problem be? Is this a known issue? I really need this to work properly, any help will be really appreciated!

I used a very dirty fix, went to the db and set the default value to 1 in customers_authorization in the customers table. But would still like to find what the problem with the script is and solve it there.

Edit: Nevermind, that didn't really work. I created a new account and customers_authorization was saved as 0. Help!
