    Default Automatic Welcome Letter

    Is there a way to send new customers, when they join the website to get a welocme letter automatically sent to their e-mail?

    Try Admin/email options.

    Send emails=true
    Send copy of create account emails to-status=1

    Not sure if you plan on editing the actual email that is sent, but this should turn the option on anyway.
