    Idea or Suggestion Paypal Issues

    Hello All,
    I am setting up paypal for payments and after chking out the buyer pays and I get an email from paypal about money received HOWEVER i do not get any details about the order number or any items details.

    I have tried to setup the account but dont know whats missing
    this seems to be working fine but I think there should be more details for all orders

    Thanks any help would be appreciated. Also How does the store owner know if the paypal billing address and the shipping address are different ?

    Here is a screenshot of paypal for the buyer.

    As you can see there is no description of the items he is paying for neither is there any Order number.

    Same details or rather the lack of them are emailed to the store owner on completion of the payment.

    I would assume the shopowner would get an email stating the order number for the payment received.

    The Account with paypal is the standard one

    Here is the zip of the paypal logs

    Even in the logs i see the item number or the irder number is not being passed i think

    That's to be expected. Zen Cart doesn't send line-item details when using Website Payments Standard (IPN) mode. Express Checkout will send full details as long as no discounts are applied to the order.

    Your logs show details of order #6 being generated by that particular transaction, as well as the order being refunded and its order status changed in Zen Cart.

    yes the payments are coming through

    however in the mails being sent from paypal to the buyer as well as the store owner there is no mention of the Order number to tally in the zen store.

    Also when the buyer is redirected back to the cart he comes to the check out success screen where the order number is displayed.

    This checkout success page also states the our shipping policy and if the buyer want s to pay by Check.
    I dont want the buyer to get confused and would like to send him to another page where he can see the order number generated for him. What variable should i include in the page to thank him for his paypal payment and the order number. and can it part of the zencart itself ?

    Ok process ios this

    put in cart
    go to checkout
    go to paypal ( order number is not yet generated )
    get redirected back to cart where order number is generated.

    your customer gets an invoice from your store emailed with the details of the order and the order number....

    and your shipping and check informatin should not be displaying on the success page... there should be a link to view the order ( my account ) and one to be notified with changes to the product...
