weird formatting problem

i have been racking my brains for the last couple of hours. I know what is causing the problem, but i dont know why or how to fix it. Hoping for some suggestions.

Working page

The link above is working, it is a walk through how to use the checkout for first time users. At the very very bottom of the page "siteInfoIp" and "SiteLegal" are centered one or two lines below the my custom links called "siteinfo"

However at this link All other pages

The "SiteInfoIp" and "SiteLegal" is offset and to the right side.

I am trying to get them to line up exactly the same, and im racking my brains as to why when the hieght of the #mainWrapper is set to something greater than 2900px the "SiteInfoIp" and "SiteLegal" are in the right spot. However because that is way too long, when i have it set to what i want height: 1140px it offsets.

any suggestions or better why is it doing this and how can i fix this... ugg..

Re: weird formatting problem

In your stylesheet try putting display:block; in with the #siteInfo declarations, if that doesn't work, try putting <break class="clearBoth" /> under the closing </div> for the siteInfo div in the footer template (I am assuming that's where you put it lol) hope one of those works for you :D

Re: weird formatting problem

can only edit after 7 mins from a post, interesting...

okies take #3...

It's clear i should probably stick to drinking, 4x4'ing and making ridiculous videos.

Im impressed, you were able to move SiteInfoIp and SiteLegal to the right side of the two pages where the height was taller than 2900px. I have no idea who/why or what is causing that, but anyways.

It's cool they all line up on the right hand side of the pages. However the challenge i give to you is to center SiteInfoIp and SiteLegal under the links i added. The new links which i call siteinfo are located in the tpl_footer found in the Templates>CUSTOM>common.

Cheers, Szarin.

Re: weird formatting problem

Yay! im trolling my own post, lol... anyways...

I have gotten the SiteInfoIp and SiteLegal to appear centered just above my links which as i stated where called "SiteInfo"
I put "margin: -22px;" in the .smalltext, #SiteInfoIp, #SiteLegal ........ found in the stylesheet.css

Its still not exactly what i was hoping for, but now i have some options as to where i can put Siteinfoip and Sitelegal.

If anyone thinks they can get it centered under the "siteinfo" links go for it. If anyone can tell me why if the height was set to >2900 px that it did what i was trying to do automatically thats cool... driving me nuts...

Szarin.

Re: weird formatting problem

I have an alternate suggestion...why don't you get rid of the ip info (from what I've seen most ppl don't like it LOL and just add the Powered by Zen Cart next to your light gray (©2001-2008 Scarred Dreams) copyright? As it is you have the copyright bit twice there lol

Re: weird formatting problem

Hmmm, I tried adding the SiteInfoIp and SiteLegal to my SiteInfo in the tpl_footer, and i like the way it looks. It's not what i was orginally going for, however its always nice to have someone else critique your work and give you suggestions that you may not have thought about. I like this different arrangement, i know most ppl turn off the IP info, but i kinda like it.

Thanks for your input, i really appreciate it.

Szarin.

Re: weird formatting problem

Thanks very much, im trying to get the homepage, video/animation sections, forums and the store to all flow smoothly from one to another with the same design principles.

None of this would be possible without the great feedback from this forum, everyone here is fantastic. Thanks once again guys.

Szarin.

Re: weird formatting problem

I have spent many many hours searching this forum and 99% of the time found the answers I needed without having to ask....being able to customize it in the way that we can and relatively easily once you know your way around the structure is one of the things I love the most about Zen Cart, my entire site has the one look, from wordpress to forum to zencart LOL
