Help needed please

I am doing some search engine optimisation which I am teaching myself from a book.

This tells me to identify the following

HTML heading

meta title tag

meta description tag


I can see quite clearly in zencart where to alter the meta title and description tags as there is an option at the far right hand side of every product to edit these.


However, where in zencart is the HTML heading and where do I go to edit this? I need to edit it for all my landing pages. I am wondering if this is just the category meta title tag or is it the narrative that I type as a description of the category or product rather than the meta tag - I am getting confused!!

Please could someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks Rob - I have already changed the title for my whole site using the link you have provided. I just did not realise that this was known as the html heading!!

This is for my home page only though.



For my other main category pages can you please confirm what is the html heading? Is this just the category meta title or is there somewhere else where I change the html heading for every category page?

What you call "html heading" is known as the TITLE tag. In Zen Cart it will show on every page.

By default, your Product pages should also show the product name & price, within the TITLE tag.
