    Default IE & Firefox... Why So Different - Help Needed

    Right, everything on the site is pretty much the same in both IE and Firefox with IE being exactly how i want it. Firefox though has 2 problems, the homepage picture doesn't line up like it does in IE and the product page wording is also too high up.

    Does anyone know why this is?

    Thanks

    1. You can fiddle with the padding and margin in these:

    .centerColumn, #bannerOne, #bannerTwo, #bannerThree, #bannerFour, #bannerFive, #bannerSix {
    padding: 0em;
    margin-top: 0.8em;
    margin-right: 1em;
    }

    .centerColumn2 {
    padding-top: 0.1em;
    margin-right: 1.2em;
    }

    2. Add some padding-top to:

    .categoryIcon {
    text-align: center;
    }

    The first can be dealt with by adding this to your stylesheet
    #indexDefault br {line-height:0}
    but you'll need to clarify what you mean bythe product page wording being too high. Do you mean the product description on the product_info page? And if so, where do you want it to go?

    Thanks.

    In IE, there's a gap along the top the same height as there is above the sideboxes and then all the product info starts, in Firefox all the product info is pushed up and start right underneath the nav bar.

    Do you know what i mean?

    I'm not seeing it. They look absolutely identical to me in FF3 and IE7 on this page. Which versions are you using?

    That #indexDefault br {line-height:0} didn't work, it sends the site to a totally different colour scheme and position.

    Then you didn't put it in properly. Changing the line height on a line break tag can't change the site's color scheme. You must have corrupted the stylesheet.

    I've just updated to FF3 and the product page part is sorted.

    Just the homepage part now.

    I copied and pasted that line into the stylesheet and that's what happened... strange.
