ALERT: PayPal Express Checkout Error () - 104

Hi,

I've just had a PayPal EC transaction go through, and the order is not showing up in the admin section. The customer has confirmed that the order is also not showing up in their account. The funds are present in my PayPal account.

1 minute before the transaction went through, i got an email with the following error:

ALERT: PayPal Express Checkout Error () - 104

1 minute after the transaction went through, i got an email with the following error:

ALERT: PayPal Express Checkout Error () - 7

Unfortunately our site moved server two days ago and the folder permissions on the 'logs' folder were changed so no log file was created.

We have a number of discount coupons active, but no mods which affect order totals installed.

This was a 1.3.8a clean install.

We have installed: Free Shipping (and free shipping options), Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded, Royal Mail Airmail, Royal Mail Special Delivery (all from Big Royal Mail Mod), European Shipping (table), United Kingdom Zone Rates for Couriers (the shipping selected for this order) and International Shipping (zones).

Other Add-ons installed: Super Orders 2.0, Admin Notes file, Big Royal Mail 2.2.1a1, Capitalize Signup Fields 1.0b, Categories Menu Yahoo Tree Menu with Ajax.

VAT of 17.5% is included in all prices.

Can anyone give any insight into what the error 104 means? Or help on looking into this problem.

A 104 error would seem to be a connection-timeout error ... meaning there was no response from the gateway (in your case paypal) before the timeout limit (which is 60 seconds in Zen Cart).
One post on PayPal's PDN community forum suggests that the 104 error may actually be a result of the cardholder's bank not responding in time to paypal.

Thanks DrByte. So that error seemingly would have nothing to do with the payment going through, but the sale not being recorded in ZC?

The customer has checked out again and the sale has gone through successfully so i'm guessing this could just be a one-off problem.

This happened couple times yesterday..Maybe PayPal busy
as 3 orders finally arrived in zencart 15/20 mins AFTER got paypal payment email.
