THat's where I got the version I am trying to work with (Desktop_Data_2.3). However earlier in the post there is a link that included Vista work around. \ This goes to what looks like an add page.

I have installed Ave's Active desk top however I can only see the store info box with the Ave's open, is there away to show it in just a small window? THX

Did you click the Hide button?

I had to refresh my desktop to show my added link rather then the link that was the default on the program. BTW Does this mod ignore the admins IP? It's not showing when I am on the front end, and since I am the only one going to my site during the construction phase........ it's hard to test the feature # of visitors, guess I need to ask some to hop by :)

Should I click the live site box or leave it be?

No it doesn't ignore the admin. Remember that the refresh rate is set to 3 minutes by default, so it doesn't show live results. Once you do something on the front end, wait for up to 3 minutes and it should then display you as a visitor.

Sure, or another option can be to visit your site using a few different web browsers.

I suspect this is me being dim but I cannot get the workaround to work with Avi's/Vista and the links Steven has posted take me to a site with no mention of Desktop Data, just a nice looking girl and some unrelated menus. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong (Using Firefox)

Hi, the link you quoted was just a temporary link to the latest version of the mod. That link doesn't work anymore but you can find the latest version of the mod in the 'Free Software Add Ons' section of this site, in the 'Other Modules' category. I'm assuming though you already have the mod as you mentioned not being able to get the workaround to work with it. If that's right, could you say a bit more about how it is not working as you expect.

I'm having problems, hoping you can help. I'm getting the following warning. Did I do something wrong or am I missing something.
