Okay I think you can make use of the $display_status setting in the main desktop_data.php file.



First you will need to determine the IDs of the order statuses you *do* want to display. You could do this by opening phpMyAdmin and looking up the orders_status table. Then enter them like in the example above.

I am impressed with the ease of this small and powerful app. That was a snap to mod as if it was design that way

here is what I did as you suggested above;
phpMyAdmin to zen_orders_status and choose the order_status_id that you want. In my case its this;

$display_status = '1;2;100;';

another thought I had was to include a refresh link to Desktop Data for instant refresh of page (I know you can on XP "right click DD page") but I read another previous post that links dont work well in Vista and its better to have compatibility than this function?

Another setting you might want to configure is which order statuses are highlighted red when the number is above 0. In your case, I would be inclined to turn this feature off but it's up to you.

It's true that Vista users can't interact with the mod like XP users can. I'm not totally against adding a feature which Vista users can't use but I just thought it would be ideal if the mod were to be the same for everyone. I could add a refresh button if you wanted. I just hit F5 to refresh the mod, but a button may be better.

Just thought it would be handy to have a refresh link. I have and use daily the livehelp and it has pages similar to DD and it has a refresh link on its pages that also has the countdown timer next to link so one can see your Min Seconds till next refresh.

Dont know if the timer would make you active desktop to active but its a thought

What I have done is added four buttons to the base.
1. Homepage
2. Refresh mod
3. Admin
4. Download mod

You can turn any or all of the buttons off via the settings.

The timer was a little difficult to implement. Do you have any other suggestions or do you think this will be good as it is?

I like the additions, the graphics do let you add more links for the space instead of just text links, nice.
Question though on the links to home or admin, I understand you can set this via settings to whatever you want but would assume most would set this to Home (yoursite.com) and admin to (yoursite.com/admin). If that is done then the small window for DD will need to be expanded. I like that idea as you have perm access to your zen-cart on your active desktop but it does mean you will have to expand this manually each time and or contract the page as needed. Unless theres a auto setting for this page expand?
4. Download Mod what is your thoughts on this button?

Dont think the timer is crucial just an added visual for the anxious watcher

Clicking either the homepage or the admin button will open up these links in your default browser window, so the mod doesn't change appearance at all. Same goes for the download button.

I added the download button so it's easy to check if there's a new version available. It just opens up the mod's page in the Free Software Add Ons section.
