    Default How do I export database from my PC to my server?

    Hi, I hope that someone can help me;
    I've installed EasyPhp on my computer and than I've installed ZenCart, created a database and created my shop.
    Now I've bought some server space and I can't seem to import my database into my on-sever ZenCart account. I've read the FAQ's and it says that you sould use PhpMyAdmin, but it doesn't work on my personal computer becouse I haven't tramsformed it in a server (I haven't downloaded Apache or anything else).
    Does anyone have any ideas what to do?

    Thanks

    Anyway, I've been on my computer for hours now and I can't figure it out. All the files in the old database are in .frm, .myd or .myi format and PhpMyAdmin doesn't accept them (keeps saying that there's been an error)... It's getting really frustrating...

    phpMyAdmin can only accept files in the same format that it creates. Most often that's .sql format.

    The .frm, .myd, .myi, etc files are NOT database-exports ... those are raw filesystem files unique to the computer that's storing your database data.
    If you want to export your database data, you need a program that will do that for you.
    If you don't have phpMyAdmin on your own computer (or some other program that can do it) then you can't do a database export from your computer.

    You might look for assistance on installing phpMyAdmin on the phpMyAdmin website or maybe the easyPHP website or whatever site assisted you with installing webserver software on your computer. Or you might try a website devoted to running webservers, such as webhostingtalk.com
