Maybe we are not on the same page here ...

    If I bug 2 2.5 liter things ... am I getting the 2.5 price x 2 or the 5.0 price x 1?

When you buy 2x 2,5 Liter then you have to pay for 2x2,5 liter. But it would be nice that you get the price for 5L, but first I have to solve the main problem

When you buy the 5L you get some off the price/liter...

When I only have 1 attribute, I can use the Price Factor (don't ask me why hehe). The price is 2,5*price/liter. that's how I want it.
But, when I have 2 or more attributes, the price factor is unusable. The price isnt anymore 2,5*price/liter, but a strange other amount.

So that is what I want: At 2,5Liter: 2,5*price per liter
At 5 liter: 5*price per liter (for 5 liter it's less then for 2,5 liter, so a little bit discount).

I know that it is much easier to just set the total price per can, but in my pricelist every price is per liter, so it's too much work to calculate all prices per can.... You know :)

hmm after thinking about it, it's easier to calculate the price per can instead of per liter. So that's what I'm gonna do now.

    But what I want now:

In the attribute dropdown box on the product page, I want this:

    Color:
    White 5L (+35.00) (7.00/L)
    etc

How do I get that (7.00/L) thingy?

Pretend I know nothing about paint nor your busines ... what does the 7.00/L mean?

What is the relationship to the 5 L (+35.00) or are you trying to say it is the 35.00/5 = 7L ...

If so, can't your customers do the math?

Is it always 7.00/L or does this change per paint?

When you buy 5L, you pay 35.00 for it. But the costumer has to see that more paint is cheaper, so that's why the x.xx/l is for.

So the 5L paint costs 35.00 and you pay 7.00/L for it (5x7.00 = 35.00)
But in the dropdown the costumer sees also:
    10L (+50.00) (5.00/L)

    (10*5.00/L = 50.00)

This is not a good example because when you need 5L you don't buy 10L, but it's needed that the costumer can see that 10L paint is much cheaper then 5L paint... I can put it in the description, but I think it's more convenient to do it by the dropdownbox, isn't it?

The problem is that half of what you see in the dropdown is text and half is a number ...

There isn't anything to manage that with properly when setup this way where the text has to be translated to a value and then a calculation made ...

Is there any kind of formula that you can see that might work with your products based on actual numeric fields where a calculation could be done?

What do you mean? I think a formula could be:

number before the L * price per liter

    so 5 * 7.00 to get 35.00.

If the problem is the letter after the number of liters, then this would be a good idea:

    A dropdownbox with title:
    Number of liters:
    and then
    5 (35.00, 7.00/L)
    10 (50.00, 5.00/L)
    15 (60.00, 4.00/L)

The number before the L was set on the Options Value as text wasn't it?

The number before the L is set in Option Value manager... Everything in Option Value manager:
    White, 2.5 Liter
    White, 5 Liter
    White, 10 Liter

And the prices etc is set in the attributes manager
