    Default linking images

Hi, thanks for all your help so far. need a little more.

I've searched the tutorials and forum and actually saw the info i needed but can't find it again so was wondering if anyone can help.

I need to link my images in the header.......Lego, Halo, Gears of war etc etc, to the relevent pages............how is this achieved?

    http://www.actionfigures4u.com

Also i would like to move 'Login', and while i'm doing so add 'Register', which for some reason doesn't show up at the moment. I would like to move them to the top right of my site in the black tab with images.

Finally when i add the text 'Email: [email protected]' to underneath the action figures 4u.com logo i would like it to be linked to the contact us page.

    Can anyone help........................

The images in your header are currently part of the background image using CSS... To make the images clickable in some way, you would need to link to the image with a IMG tag and either use an image map for the areas that you want clickable. Or cut up the logo into individual pictures and use html links...

You can move the login button, but be aware that when there is something in the shopping cart - this part is extended with links to the shopping cart and checkout page....

If you hover your mouse over your current contact us button - you will see the link that you can copy and paste into an html tag when you insert into your page....

hi steve, yep ............... i only put the pics together with the logo to see how it would look. i have the whole header as seperate images...................

now here's my problem, i have no idea how to include them all as seperate images, i don't know how to insert an image, which file to put the code in or how to code full stop.

    is there a tutorial anywhere............?

hmmmm not sure about a tutorial anywhere... other than basic html tutorials that will show up in a popular search engine.

you will need to edit a template file...
    includes - templates - YOURTEMPLATE - common - tpl_header.php

but I guess, that's the easy bit...

for simplicity I suggest keeping the image as one single image, and applying an Image Map... You may want to read up on HTML Image Maps.

then you will have to remove the CSS background image and insert your new image into tpl_header.php using an html IMG tag... probably inside the <div id="logo">

I suppose separate images - then if need be you could change them at a later date... I may have time tomorrow to help you get this sorted...

Steve i would be very grateful if you could. I understand however if you can't.

i was just adding a few more things to the header to see how it looks, i'll upload it a little later.

i'll also have all of the images seperate, background, icons, logo etc.

thanks for everything so far anyways..............
