I was curious how to put a picture in my url, like google's "g", yahoo's "y!" and apple's apple logo?

This is called "favicon.ico" and you create an image that is 16x16px and must have the ability to save in .ico format in your image editor.

FTP the result to your site root and it will then appear but only maybe after you bookmark the site
