Product Display List vs. Grid Alignment...

Hey gang...

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'm working on a new e-com site for a friend/client and I'm running into an issue with how the products in her store are going to be displayed.

Zen defaults to a LISTING of products in the given category like in this site: http://veralim.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1

I'm hoping to achieve a gridded look more in line with this site: http://www.littledreamerdesigns.com/...index&cPath=34

Also wondering about the spacing between the images in the listing format from the previous site: http://veralim.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 to my friend's site: http://www.paperbagstudios.com/shopp...=index&cPath=1 -> the images are really tight together and I'm wondering how to adjust the spacing between the product display lines. Any clues/help would be very appreciated!!

If anyone can offer a neophyte ZenCart user some direction about which page I should be updating/tweaking and WHAT I should be changing that would be most appreciated!

It's kind of time sensitive so hopefully someone can help me soon [pretty please!!!!]

Start with this mod:

You can separate the product listings by adding some padding to:

.productListing-data {
padding-bottom:2em;
}


after you break the .productListing-data out from the big pile of stuff that starts with .centeredContent in your stylesheet.

If you don't have the Firefox browser and the Web Developers plugin, you should. Makes finding stuff like this easy.

Got that to work! thanks... but one question, under ALL PRODUCTS it is still defaulting to a 1 column listing layout instead of a grid. Any ideas why and how I could fix this?

lazschu, after you install the mod (including the .sql file) you can go to Admin > Configuration > Product Listing and change Product Listing - Layout Style to "columns" instead of "rows." That will do the trick.

I have it set up that way already. The issue is not with the general PRODUCT LISTING, but more specifically with the ALL PRODUCTS listing not conforming to the grid layout.

The configuration for the Product Listing is set to 3 columns, but the ALL PRODUCTS page seems to be the only one that isn't syncing with the rest of the page layout formating.

The Column Grid mod doesn't affect the All Product listings natively.
