Buy this product, get another product for free

Hi all,

I'm looking for something that would allow my client to automatically included a certain free product in orders from customers who bought a certain other item(s).

I don't think the "Better Together" mod will work for this scenario (since the customer doesn't choose the second, free item - it needs to get added to their order automatically) so I was wondering if anyone had done anything like this.

There's not specific feature in Zen Cart to do this, but there are features that allow the cart to be extended to do so.

There's a detailed tutorial in the wiki. What you want to do lies somewhere between the two examples given.
