Hostgator -- Shared SSL issue

I'm using the shared SSL certificate on my Zen shop. I enabled the SSL in the config.php file and added the URL in the admin and includes/config.php files. The home page URL works fine. The https:// URL works. However, once I try to browse within my site, it flips back to a http:// URL. What's more is that the non-SSL home page looks slightly different the the SSL page (missing banners on the SSL page).

I verified that the right directory is selected for the catalog. Stumped. Please advise. Thank you!

your site works just like its suppposed to,


only pages that transfer display or coleect sensi=tive information are secure...

not the entire site..

Is this the same scenario with a private SSL? I guess I'm thinking of a site like PayPal where you log in and you're always on a secure https://page. How do I replicate that?

is your product information critical information?

the only parts of zc that need to be seucre are
login
account creation
order process
view account history

No, nothing is really criticial. My thoughts are just with the URL changing back and forth and the lack of consistency.

there is no reason to secure public data....
