Noob Upgrading Advice Please

Ok, I probably already know the answer to this but...

Just loaded Zencart and have the book etc.

Should I just do the book route and go wild playing with my Cart on my local and then once I'm familiar with it, then upgrade or...

Should I just do the upgrade to the newst version and go from there and try to figure things as I go?

Whatever the one is in the book - sorry that's all I can say at the momment - me at work - can give you the exact one when I get home

Okay- The upgrade from 1.3.7.1 to 1.3.8 is relatively easy - upgrade instructions are in your /docs/ directory. Main thing is backup all the files and the database before you start so you can restore if things go wrong.
