    Default Click-Show-Hide Category Menu mod

I am using the Click-Show-Hide Category Menu as a horizontal header menu and I was wondering if it was possible to collapse all of the sub-categories menus when the home page is loaded.

Right now, if a sub-category is selected and you return to the home page, the sub-category remains visible and the top level category that was selected remains "on".

I also think it can be confusing when browsing the site to see a highlighted category when you are no longer browsing that section. See attached screenshot, which was taken from the index page.

Does anyone know of a way to reset everything when returning to the home page?

If anyone is interested, I found a workaround to my problem.

Since I am using this menu in my header and not actually using the right column, I disabled the right column on the home page and used an if ($this_is_home_page) condition to manually insert the top level categories into my header while on the home page.

This works great for the home page, but I still have the issue when browsing any of my ez-pages.

Ideally I would like the status of the menus to be based on the current page address and not remember what was previously open.

    Default Click-Show-Hide Category Menu

    Hi,

Since installing Click-Show-Hide Category Menu when you change pages the sidebox takes up the whole page then goes back to normal size. Normally in less than 1sec but is still noticable.

    Any way to fix this?

I agree with you, I'm still hunting for a solution to that issue. Also, when JavaScript is disabled on the browser, it shows ALL the categories. I'd like it to show just like the default zen cart side box when java is disabled..

    Example: BeyonLounge.com

just an update, if you enable G Zip Compression, the category box wont lag and display the whole tree while changing pages.

my page seems to work fine with no more horrible looking lags!
