Add to cart - Stock by Attributes

Hi all geeks

I ahve ZC 1.3.8 and stock by attrib 4.7 installed.

I have products with 1 attribute and all works well but the add to cart button button works even when no attribute is selected for a product ! The right thing would be to throw an error message rather going to the shopping cart page.

I have a shirt with different sizes

On going thru various posts here I tried the following solution but in vain

1) Add select size as an option value.
2) Select attrib flags : display - yes, default - yes, sort order - 0

It doest show up on the product page

Now, I go to the product with attributes stock and this attrib (Select size) as a variant and give 0 as stock.Once I do this, the Select size also appears as a radio button option along with the sizes and if add to cart is clicked, it proceeds to the cart
without any error

I am almost done with my cart except for this problem.

All you kind hearted people please help me.Apologies for any mistakes in my english.
