Salemaker refuses to work!

I've tried every "fix" I can find for this issue but still no joy!
Gone to Store Manager and reset Master Cats and Products Prices.

Setup sale using start/end dates - tried it without dates too!

Any other suggestions?

Could you share with us what kind of Sale you want to add to what ... like what categories_id or what products_id ...

Do you use Linked Products?

Do you have Products and Categories in the same Category?

Do you manually enter products or import?

What version Zen Cart? Clean install or an upgrade?

Does any kind of price change show in the Admin vs the Catalog?

No - is that possible???

All manual entries.

Zen Cart version 1.3.8a new install

Does any kind of price change show in the Admin vs the Catalog?

Store shows Specials right now - our alternative since "SaleMaker" was being uncooperative.

Set up a Sale as:
SaleName: 10% off Womens Clothing
Deduction: 10 Type: Percent
If a product is a Special: Apply SaleDeduction to Specials Price otherwise to Price

Check the box for the Category for Womens Clothing ...

Click Insert ...

Click the RED icon to activate the Sale ...

Now what happens?

I set this up exactly as you suggested and no changes!
I went back and then "selected" the category "Women's Apparel" and still no changes.

I LIED!!!! OMG!!! AJeh pointed out that products were indeed linked and creating the problem.

AJeh - thanks for the help -sorry to have taken so much of your time needlessly - if I had just provided the correct info to start with! geez!

I just set the master category to the correct category and PERFECTION! SaleMaker works!

Thanks for the update that setting the master_categories_id on the Products corrected the pricing issues with Sale Maker ...

Master Category ID is what prompts Sale Maker to know which Products get a Sale applied to them when calculating the prices ...

If Products are Linked Products, then assuring that the master categories id is set to match the categories_id of the Category on Sale will set the prices correctly ...

If you do not use Linked Products, you can go to the Tools ... Store Manager ... and hit the Update Master Categories ...

Then, hit the Update Products Sort Order when that finishes ...

If you have Linked Products you can do the same thing, but it will pick the First categories_id that it finds as a match for this ...

Or, go to the Product(s) and edit and set the Master Categories ID from the dropdown ...

Or, you can use the C for Copy and go to the Multiple Categories Manager at the bottom ...

There are also settings in that where you can set a whole Category to update the master_categories_id value ...
