cant upload images

You have set /images and the subdirectories to 777 ...

Your image names do not contain spaces, special characters and the like ...

If you try to add an image, even though it shows the no image, can you:
look in the directory you loaded it to, via FTP
refresh the directory
look to see if the filename is there

If the filename is there, what are the permissions?

If not there, can you still FTP the image to the directory and does it work?

Do you have a clean install or an upgrade?

Do you have any add-ons that might be affecting this?

Has it ever worked before?

Yes the image directory and sub directories are set to 777
image names are text only
when i try to add an image;
it isn't uploaded into the directory when i check using ftp

If i ftp the image to the directory manually i can modify / add a new product and enter the filename in the "Or, select an existing image file from server, filename: " box and the prduct listing appears correctly. \unfortunately i cannot give the site owner ftp access
it is a clean install
add ons are image handler 2
it hasn't worked from the start

Have you reported your upload problems to your hosting company? Perhaps their server's PHP configuration doesn't allow for uploads to work properly. Maybe they have the upload-max size too low, or the temporary-upload folder that PHP uses may not have the right permissions, etc.

where is the temp php upload folder ??

I have a strange problem, I don't seem to be able to upload images to my site if I have manipulated them in Photoshop. I used to be able to. I can upload the original images. I also have a item names having gobbledy gook written by them. I probably originally cut and pasted the text, but I cannot get rid of it.

You can see the old wones I loaded are fine and the first has an unedited image which uploads fine but the text is wrong and the bottom one has the modified image loaded but not showing with the same silly text.

Hopefully someone can correct the issue for me. I have had so much fun with the site. Recently I moved to a faster server, I added lightbox, failed to get paypal express to work so now am putting images in without tax. The other modules were added ages ago and so probably are not the issue.

That first image is 692k and a monster at 2560px × 1920px ... my screen isn't even that large ...

Get that down in size for starters ...

I'd look over the Product Description and see if you have errors in how it is put together ... Zen Cart cleans the text for that display but if it has a lot of errors it cannot clean it right ...

I know the image is huge this is the pre edited image and if it can load a large one it shows it is not due to the image size. The errors in the text are there but I cannot work out where they come from. If I type it in fresh it still gives them so maybe it is associated with the fact I cannot upload the image file. The edited ones are the same as the others on the page and they used to work as it shown by the fact they are on the page but they no longer work and I don't know why?
