Adding text when customers are going through check ou

I am trying to add text to the check out page but have not found anywhere that I can do this. Any help would be appreciated. Also, how do I turn off "what's new in September" (or whatever month is it)

On all of the checkout pages? Only one? Top? Bottom?

In the Admin> Configuration> Index Listing

Just in my online store portion of my website. When the customer wants to submit their shopping cart, but before payment is made I would like to add some text. It would be just about the payment button.

I have gone to admin - config- index - index listing, turned off one, then another and then all of the "new products" and the sidebar listing for New Products is still there

New Products is still where? When you are on the Shopping Cart and empty it?

Configuration ... Stock ...

Or, where are you still seeing this?

Sorry, I have two separate topics on the go. The first one is: how do I leave text on the check ou part of my shopping cart. Just before they click submit now for payment?

The second question was: how do I get rid of "New Products" on the sidebar *right side* of my shopping cart.

Do you mean the Link in the Categories sidebox or do you mean the New Products sidebox?

If you peek in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ... there is a setting for the each of the Links in the Categories sidebox:

Categories Box - Show Specials Link
Show Specials Link in the Categories Box

true
false

Categories Box - Show Products New Link
Show Products New Link in the Categories Box

true
false

Categories Box - Show Featured Products Link
Show Featured Products Link in the Categories Box

true
false

Categories Box - Show Products All Link
Show Products All Link in the Categories Box

false

NOTE: on Specials, Featured and New Products, even when set to True these have to exist for the Link to be displayed ...
