Admin Login Problems

I have had my site up for about a year now and I have never run into this problem before. I am able to log into my admin area, but I get directed back to the login page every time I select anything in the admin area. If the fix is in the admin page im out of luck. Has anyone else come across this problem, and if so how was it rectified.

Without doubt someone somewhere must have done something to cause this problem, find out if you can and corrected from there, if you can't then you will have to restore your home directory and database from an earlier version.

Before doing anything drastic ... can you just close your browser window(s) and clear your cookies and cache?

This isnt an isolated incident. this is on any computer all starting the same day.

Turn off the enable secure on one of these setups in the configure.php for:
/admin/includes/configure.php

can you now navigate properly?

I, too, have had this problem. Just now in fact. Seems when I updated my NoScript addon for Firefox, this started.

Does this sound the same for you? I ended up having to disable it...

I am at work now so I will try this change when I get back home.

I had not made and changes to my site, and since it happened on any computer I used it isnt something I had downloaded on a computer that gave me this conflict. I do not know if there has been any changes with my server as I was not informed of any.

I should know by now to start off with the forum and not come here as a last resort.

Had the same problem as OP. To cut a VERY long story short I eventually un-installed FF and added back my extensions one at a time and noscript is the culprit. Disable it and my Admin is fine again.

Having found no solution I came here and searched on " noscript " and " login " and found this thread. No answer but at least I'm not alone with this problem. I suspect there will be more people along as I have been running noscript forever and the problem only started today for me.

OK, seems to be affecting other sites as well and is down to cookies set from https pages.

I've tried the development build and it seems to have fixed login problems on 2 out of 3 of my stores.

Switching off "Automatic Secure Cookies Management" under the advanced tab got me up and running again.
