Top Category Image Listing on new page

I've read that my only options for displaying Categories are:

1) In a side-box
2) In the Categories Tab Menu
3) Category pictures on the main page

Is there a way to somehow create a "Categories" page, and put the code that displays the Category pictures on the main page on this new page?

Basically, I want to show the categories by pictures, but only when you click on "Products" from the home page.

Ok, I've tried hacking the code from the index page (when category rows are turned on) - but still no luck through adding it to an EZ Page or Define Page.

Any suggestions other than custom build the page myself?

Could an Admin give me a helping hand? I can pay in beer or peanuts - whichever you prefer! :)

I'm somewhat familiar with ZenCart and have a good understanding of PHP and DHTML. If someone could help point me in a direction to what I should look for in attempting to create my own category page (separate from the index.php page). Much apreciated!
