Default More text length allowance in "comments"

    Hi all

Just wondering how (or if) I can increase the text allowance in the "en: Comments:" field when setting up an option name. (this is for the description, not for the customer text box)

Many thanks (sorry - I couldn't find the answer anywhere)

    Thanks (again)

    S

I'm not sure from your post exactly what you want to increase, but you'll probably have to use phpMyAdmin to change the field in the database.

That is correct, you can do a search on:
    Comments

and you would find posts such as:

which explains this in a bit more detail ...

Thanks to you both stevesh & Ajeh for your replies.

Sooooooo happy you shed some light on the "how to" .... love learning new stuff!

I followed the instructions in the post that you directed me to.....found the right field in the database table and amended it saved, logged out...even went back to make sure it had updated correctly.

However - my "en-comments" field hasn't reflected the change - is still restricted in character length

Sorry to be a pest - but could you offer any suggestions?

    Many thanks
