Search facility

Can somebody let me know what areas the zen cart search looks at when deciding whether a result is returned. i.e. does the search only look at the product description or can I load keywords into some other place for the search to pick up? I just want to try and make the search more effective on my site.

Fields searched include:
- product name
- product model
- manufacturer name
- custom metatags-keywords
- custom metatags-description

Optional:
- product description (if search_in_description box is checked)
- date-added (if date ranges are selected)
- price (actually price_sorter) (if price range is selected)
