    Default PayFlow Pro

    Hi,

This message is intended primarily for the user named, "Dr. Byte"

In a thread I started a while back (http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104181), you stated:

"it's been years since I actually used that older module. The newer one for v1.3.8 is much more flexible and reliable IMO."

Based on that, I installed Zen Cart 1.3.8a, and then went to install the PayFlow Pro module. It appears that the version for 1.3.8a is the same as the one I had installed for 1.3.7.

    It's called: "payflowpro-1.3d-paypal"

Is there something different I should be installing?

    I'm getting the same error:

    Result code: 1:
Error There has been an error processing your credit card, please try again.

I've tried just about everything I can think of, at this point. I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall. I called PayPal, and they think it's a problem with the PayFlow Pro module (or its configuration on my server), and they say there's nothing they can do to help me.

Is there any real support for PayFlow Pro? Or is it just anonymous help here on this forum? (Don't get me wrong, I *greatly* appreciate the help I've gotten here, but I am simply not clear on whether the PayFlow Pro module is supported in any official way by anyone. I guess it's PayPal, but they can't provide much help, it seems.)

The only other thing I am planning is to install Zen Cart on a different server we have here, and verify that I can get PayFlow Pro to work on there...I suspect it will, but ideally it needs to get installed on the one where I'm running into the problems.

I'm still not clear if I'm supposed to be able to run the "pfpro" binary from the command line. When I try, I get an "Invalid Argument" error.

Thanks, again, for any insight you or others can provide.

    Doug

Just a bit more info to add:

A co-worker executed a "file" command on the "pfpro" binary, and it comes back thusly:

pfpro: ELF 32-bit LSB executable 80386 Version 1, dynamically linked, stripped

My co-worker says that the binary appears to be for an x86 architecture, and our web server is Solaris. Could this be the source of my problems?

Is there a Solaris-specific build of PayFlow Pro?

    Thanks!

The beta PayflowPro module for v1.3.8a was posted here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...988#post481988

It doesn't use the pfpro binary, and is not unique to Solaris or any particular platform.

Can you clarify, though, is the 1.3d version compatible with Solaris? Or is that likely the reason I can't get it to run?

I've not tried to use any of the payflow modules on a solaris server. Sorry, I can't confirm one way or the other for the older module.

Well, the 1.3.8 of the PayFlow Pro module *does* work for me with Zen Cart 1.3.8a on Solaris 10!!!!

I haven't finished all my testing, but things look VERY good at this point.

If it is, indeed, the case that the 1.3d version of the PayFlow Pro module is not compatible with Solaris, should it be posted somewhere on the download page here at zen-cart.com? It might save others the headache that I've had in trying to get it to work.

For the record, the reason I was using the 1.3.7 version of Zen-Cart in the first place is that that is the version that I was tasked with migrating from one server to the Solaris server.
