Image Handler 2 problem

I'm getting the following error in IH 2, I could have sworn this was working when I first installed it now it doesn't work? So I tried reinstalling and it still gives me the same error??

I've made sure that images and bmz cache folder are writeable, and that the image names have no space or wierd characters in them.

I've google and read some other forum posts about this error in IH, but nothing seems to fix my problem. I'm really stuck now, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a change on the server? Have you got any form of URL Rewriting installed in your cart?

Yeah we have URL rewriting etc going on but it doesn't work on either the production linux server or my local windows xampp dev enviornment?

I will try on a clean install of zencart and the IH2 just to make sure I'm not going crazy and my servers both work.

Ok I just did a clean install of zencart and IH2 and it works so I know it's not server issue.

God, I've changed so much on my site could be a million things, but I have seen a lot of people have this error with no one really resloving the issue, no replies or standard replies of make sure your images folder is writeable etc.

Besides the error message I get in the admin error I have a template error that is preventing the additional images from showing. So that explains why I don't see the images even when manually uploading new extra images via FTP.

Does anyone have an clues as to why I'm getting that error in the admin area of IH2?

I'm seeing that even if I change to the default template on the site in question I still don't see the image that might be related to why I get that error in the IH2 admin area, maybe they're related with some URL or .htaccess etc. or other global functionality?

Any ideas?

The reason I asked if you were using URL Rewriting is that the error "Unable to determine page link" is most associated with URL Rewriting that is not working.

On your local offline install you should be able to get URL Rewriting working by editing the Apache httpd.conf file and uncommenting the line that allows URL Rewring (amongst the list of .so files). Stop Apache and Restart and it should work.

For the online install (if you don't own the server) if you are unable to get your hosts to allow URL Rewriting then you won't be able to use that feature.
