How do I remove the EMAIL DISCLAIMERS?

Hello Everybody!

I'm new to Zen Cart but I find it very easy to modify and very easy to manage and install modules, templates, etc even though I don't have big knowlage of PHP.

But I can't seam to find how to remove the EMAIL DISCLAIMERS.

I have only been able to remove the EMAIL DISCLAIMERS in the order confirmation e-mail.

For the others I don't know how to do.


Any help would be great! :)

All of the email files can be found in the email folder on the store's root directory.

The disclaimer code is at the bottom of each file.

NOTE: These files are not part of the override system. Be sure to back up originals before changing!

Also, keep in mind that those disclaimers can keep you in good standing with your hosting company if someone who signed up to receive them later reports you for spamming them - because you have a copy of the email that says you comply with spam laws, that they requested the email, and that you provide instructions on how to unsubscribe from future emails.

Without this information in the emails, if you're accused of spamming, you have nothing to help you prove otherwise.

Lastly, depending on where you live, you might be required to leave these in. Check with your local authorities for requirements for businesses.

There are two different files you will need to change:
admin\includes\languages\english\email_extras.php
and
includes\languages\english\email_extras.php
