Easy Populate ver 1.2.5.5. Please help me

Hi guys,

I have tried to search on this topic and I could see hundred if not thousand of post about this, I started to read on them but it will take me months to finish reading in hope to find the answer for my own question. So I posted my question here in hope that you guys will forgive my ignorance and help me.

I followed the exact instructions in the easy populate install text file. But for some reason when I go to admin - tools and select easy populate, i don't see the installation link at all. But instead it gave me the screen with fields, buttons and link to download/creat as if the installation has already done for me (is this mean I am "lucky" enough not have to do install???). My other problem is, when I go to configuration, I don't see easy populate at all (I can't do the configuration because of this).

Since I saw the screen above so I assumed that my installation complete and tried to export the sample product list. It gave me a limited tab version of list so I matched the exact format and sent in my own file to the temp folder using FTP. Then I insert into the DB by typing in the file name. And here is the error I got:

Warning: file(catalog/EASYPOPULATE_CONFIG_TEMP_DIR/productdownload) [function.file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on line 1223

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on line 1301

Please help me with this. I am looking forward to hear from you. And thanks in advance.

Make sure you have uploaded ALL folders and placed
all files in those correct folders.
Did you create directory/folder named
temp

Thanks so much for your willingness to help me out. I put that temp folder that came with the file into the root directory (same level of directory with admin). Its path is: /catalog/temp.

Let me remove those files and uploading them one more time and see. In the mean time, do you know if I have done anything else wrong?

1.If your zencart store is in folder named /catalog
then temp file is in correct place.
2.Accessing Easy Populate from admin should be via
admin/tools/Easy Populate from where you can UPLOAD
your .csv file/s
3.Am assuming you downloaded sample easy populate file
supplied/and or created sample via admin, and then used
OPEN OFFICE TO CREATE CSV FILE that suits your own
products.
4.Personally have never used version 1.2.5.5, only
version 1.2.5.4. from
