Image Handler 2 - images erratic display

Hi all

I seem to have a very odd error with IH2.

I have searched for an answer & apologies for not placing this in the main IH2 thread, but I noticed some questions just seem to get swallowed up & lost ....so, sorry.

So.......I installed IH2 some time ago, and all was going along really well in my image handling world. I had images installed prior to the mod already, but no problems at all.

Yesterday, the "biggest thing" that happened was that my site was moved from a folder position to the root of my directory (not sure if this has any bearing)

Since then, have "random" errors occur: eg/

images are evident in admin, but show up as a "broken link" (when you click on the text that has replaced the image) in the actual site. I go into IH2 and hit "display"; go back and refresh my site's browser, and image returns. (well, for a while)

Randomly, my side boxes image "disappears", but actual image in product does display .

As I said, the problem is quite random

I have "printable price list" mod installed - and viewing that, all images are displayed correctly.

So - I'm lost. Has anyone had this problem?

Any hints most appreciated

me again - about 1/2hour after my previous post MOST images "magically" appeared again. (Why? No idea - didn't do anything)

Presently, however, again all images very erratic - most are no longer displaying.

(In FF - I get double text in place of an image; in IE - red cross in image box)

I am getting a bit worried ....I did some more searching for an answer - but feel like I've hit a brickwall.

I really need some help.

Did you clear cache via Image Handler2 admin screen
after you moved your zencart install?

I didn't clear it straight away, but yes, have cleared it a couple of times already since I noticed the problem

Then apart from reinstalling IH2, regret cannot offer
further advice..hopefully another zencart forum member can.

Getting in a mild panic now....

Um - to re-install.....
do I just "uninstall" via the IH2 admin area & then re-install the IH2 files again?

I shouldn't loose my images, should I?

Whatever you decide to do...BACKUP your whole zencart install including MYSQL database FIRST..

- just an update....

Tried the re-install of IH2 - no change to "my situation"

I am REALLY worried now; I really don't understand "why" this is happening & ironically just happened after site was moved, because we were so close to being "ready" .....

If there is anyone in the wide world of ZenCart out there who could please please help me out?

This image problem has been really bugging me, so - for some reason - thought to check the config files (since the change over) and found a couple of lines still pointing to the old folder.

Changed it & image issues resolved.

(would you believe I actually started bawling - with relief - when it worked? is this an early form of ZenCart-stress? haha)

Reduced to tears myself in early days using zencart..
makes it so worthwhile though when fixing your own
problem...very well done and thanks for posting fix!!
