side navigation missing - darkness template

hey i am new to zen and trying to change template !

i just uploaded the "darkness" template files into their destination folders

i then went into the admin panel of zen to tools > templates
then changed template to "darkness"

now when i view my store all the boxes on the side for navigation do not exist ,

this is the only modification that i have done thus far i wanted my template done before other mods.


any advice ??

When installing EVERY new template, you have to reactivate
sideboxes via admin/tools/layout boxes controller
