    Default Internet explorer 6 and 7 issues

    Hello Zenners I have some problems with my new site on Internet explorer 6 and 7. First of all I would like to say my site good in firefox there are just a few things different in IE. First of all the main thing that is not right in ie7 is on the right side of the page there is a space between the right sidebox and the border. I have tried all kinds of things of trying to change this in the stylesheet but couldn't get it to work because it looks fine in firefox. I have a #headerwrapper border-bottom at like 29px right above my banner and I have a border at the top of my banner. So if you look in ie7 and firefox you will see dark green about an inch wide above and below the header banner. However in ie6 it is just plain white. Any ideas of how to get this fixed? In ie7 when i hover over products in my css menu products moves or something it is very weird just a tad which is also not displayed in firefox.

    Extra help if anyone knows how to take care of these. I have different threads started for the following issues but just thought I would throw it in just in case I could be some help with these issues. I have been having a huge problem with trying to center and set my flash banner just the way so that it will stay in one place no matter what resolution. The thread I have been posting on for quite a while now is here...

    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...=46959&page=19

    My problem has not been fixed please could use some help. Also I am trying to get my background image to also stretch for different resolutions. I have no repeat and fixed background image but on wide screen monitors and larger resolution I can see it start to have more than one image. Not sure how to fix this.

    Any help with be appreciated. This site will be going live most likely within 2 weeks. Any thoughts comments or suggestions would be extremely helpful. There are some minor tweaks I still need to do but please mention anything you see. The flash banner and header image will be changed as soon as I get the solution to get it looking right.

    You have been advised in numerous posts, on your other thread, about why header problems exist...flash.swf file
    will work and look correct in all browsers, if it is the same
    width as template width and yours is not..hence other alignments are being put out. Until you fix swf settings
    and sizes, problems will continue.

    I'm sorry but I have tried this or at least what I thought I did. Let me explain. My logo wrapper looks like this

    Code:

    #logoWrapper{

    	/*background-image: url(../images/headerbg.gif);*/

    	background-repeat: no-repeat;

    	background-color: #000000;
    	width: 887px;
    	height:110px;

    	margin: 0em;

    	padding: 0em;

    	}

    I have changed my flash file .swf to match these and it doesn't work correctly. However I will do it now and if you get a chance you can look at it and this time I will make sure I leave it up so you can see. Thanks again and I don't mean to be disrespectful in anyway you and the other zenners in the thread have helped a ton but for some reason it just isn't working and probably due to my newbieness lol. That is a word by the way. I will do the changes immediately so you can see the effects. Who knows maybe it will work this time.

    OK I have change it now so in my flash file it shows the size of sage is 887 x 110 pixels which is what my logowrapper is set too. If you look at the site..

    http://www.wpc-consulting.com/~stxmill

    You will see that it is not stretched at the moment. I know the images and the flash looks all huge because I didn't bother to resize the images on the page or anything but the size of the stage is set to 887 x 110pixels.

    Code:
    #mainWrapper {/* Background color and width of page*/	background-color: #eeffe6;	text-align: left;	width: 100%;	vertical-align: top;	/* main page border */	border: 7px solid #f2c727;	}
    Main width of site is still set at 100% not 887px i.e size of your flash.swf file

    My column width in the Layout Settings of the admin are both 150 for left and right sideboxes. Not sure how to get rid of that gap.

    May I ask for some help with this? Is there a thread or quick tutorial that discusses how to sync these values, in what files? I too am having I.E. display issues in ZenCart and the description problems are as described here.... I am not able to find for instance, a flash.swf file anywhere within the site.

    Help anyone?

    Is there a bit more explanation on how to get I.E. to work with flash? I am not quite tracking how or where to make these changes to the "flash.swf" file??? To match the width of I assume, my template? Am a bit lost here. Is there a FAQ or Tut anywhere that shows me how to get I.E. to play nice with a site that has Lightbox running on it? Firefox plays just fine. I.E. craps out, natch.

    Help??
