Default Ideal Layout Example & Possible to Add Another Description Field?

I have 2 questions...the first one is this: Right now you have a product description for an item, but I want to add a field...more like a 'my own production description'. Like for example, the item is a Blue baby blanket...so this would be the product description, but I want to add my own version such as: 'This is a really cute blanket that I used for my baby who loved how soft it was' (totally made that up for example purposes). Would this be an added field in the database? How would I go about adding it and which files would I have to adjust?

the second question is, and I'm posting because I've found other threads addressing similar issues but links to examples are unreliable I've found since some of them are quite old... So basically my first question is: Here is an example (it's a picture) of how things are now:

Name:	current.jpg
Views:	181
Size:	17.8 KB
ID:	4614

and here is an example of how I'd like things to look (sort of):

Name:	ideal.jpg
Views:	180
Size:	18.3 KB
ID:	4615

I'm not necessarily asking for anyone to give me step by step instructions, but rather, I want to know if it's possible at all to format it this way? I assume this would all be done in the tpl_product_info_display.php file?

In that second image you'll not I added that additional field that my first question dealt with.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Ideal Layout Example & Possible to Add Another Description Field?

You can search 'Free Software Add Ons' for 'product info' for some mods which might point you in the right direction.

There's a 'short description' mod, but I can't remember if it shows on the product info page.

You can use HTML tags in the product description - you should be able to separate stuff with divs to accomplish what you're shooting for.
