    Default Issue editing pages

I haven't been in my admin section for quite some time now....but now when I go in to define pages editor and to any page listed in the drop down box, I am not allowed to edit anything.

This is what is being displayed:

Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/personal/public_html/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_main_page.php Note: you should always edit the files located in your current template override directory, Example: /languages/english/html_includes/

    Can someone help?

Please set the right user permissions
To edit the files you need to change the permission thru the file manager in your cPanel or thru your FTP.

Remember to change the permissions back when you are done editing.

Thanks for assisting me. I am just confused because in the time that I had this cart, I have never seen this message....and I never changed the settings so wouldn't know where to find this area to correct it...to be honest I don't know what to correct when I find the area. Also, why must I change it back? Is this some new rule for the admin now? The define pages editor has always been free to edit....why does it do this now?

For security purposes the permissions should be set back to 644 for your define pages - keeps hackers out!

In FTP or file manager go to:

includes / languages / english / html_includes / the select the define page you want to edit.

Once you make the changes save the page to your CUSTOM folder - to preserve the changes when you upgrade.
