    Default Payment and shipping?

I have a few questions; if you could provide some insight it would be appreciated.

I’m using authorize.Net (AIM) for my payment gateway. On most sites when selecting your payment method usually you must select the card type you wish to use like visa or master card. I’m using the standard AIM payment module that comes with Zen Cart, why is it not necessary to select the card type during checkout?

My second question is about shipping. I want to add “super saver” shipping to my web site. When I go to any web site super saver always seems to be the best value, I’m not sure who offers this FedEx, DHL, UPS or USPS? Also what module would I use for this?

It is not needed because the code is smart - All cards that start with a 4 are Visa, 5 MasterCard, 3 Amex. :)

    Thank you for your reply!

That makes since, but what if I wanted to add American express would this module be able to handle that?

Also does anybody know anything about the shipping question I asked?

AMEX = American Express so yes, should work. As for the other question, it's not that a specific carrier (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc) have a Super Saver shipping option.

What I've seen is that other vendors typically offer some sort of Shipping Savings or Super Saver value as an offset to their margins (example: see NewEgg's "Free 3 business day shipping" or Amazon's Super Saver shipping option). Reviews from both reflect that items are shipped ground with the least expensive carrier. ALso - these options always seem to be offered on only the highest margin items too (but that's just my 2 cents worth).

    Hope this helps...
